Chapter Engagement Intern
Engineers Without Borders Canada
Be part of something extraordinary! Engineers Without Borders Canada (EWB) is seeking an enthusiastic Chapter Engagement Intern to help strengthen our network of university chapters across Canada. This is more than just an internship – it's an opportunity to shape the next generation of engineering leaders who are passionate about creating sustainable social change.
As our Chapter Engagement Intern, you'll work alongside our chapter network to develop engaging programs, create training materials, and support national youth leadership initiatives. From coordinating the Chapter Recruitment Roadshow to supporting Chapter initiatives, you'll help foster a vibrant community of student leaders committed to EWB's mission.
This remote position offers hands-on experience in youth leadership development, event planning, and community building while working with passionate student leaders across Canada.
Duration & Schedule
- Start Date: Mid-to-Late May 2024
- Duration: 10-16 weeks
- Hours: 35 hours per week, full-time
- Work Mode: Remote with occasional in-person meetings
- Compensation: Funded through Munk Stipend
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of youth leadership programs through EWBs University Chapter Network
- Coordinate chapter recruitment and engagement initiatives
- Create training materials and resources for chapter leaders
- Assist in planning and executing the CEO Chapter Roadshow, which is tentatively scheduled for spring 2025
- Develop content for chapter communications and events
- Facilitate inter-chapter collaboration and knowledge sharing
- Maintain the chapter resource library and documentation
Required Qualifications
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellence in written and verbal communication
- Experience with event planning or program coordination
- Proficiency in virtual collaboration tools
- Ability to work effectively with student leaders
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Data analysis and reporting capabilities
- Bilingual (English/French) an asset

- Previous experience with student organizations or clubs
- Understanding of youth leadership development
